Abstract
The article deals with the specific organization of comprehensive work on preparing cadets of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for self-education. The authors characterize the main principles of managing self-education. The main directions of this work are outlined. Special attention is paid to learning motivation and self-motivation.
